Fall markets, holiday happenings and Curbside’s 7th anniversary: Bon Vivant

Brunch and Boards: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, at The Art Studio on Main, 58077 Main St., Plaquemine 

Enjoy a charcuterie workshop and brunch on the westside with homemade pastries, mimosas and more. Tickets are $90, available for purchase at www.artstudioonmain.com. 

Curbside Burger, 4158 Government St., Baton Rouge, is celebrating its seventh anniversary Nov. 10-12 with the revival of the “Flagboy Burger,” throwback pricing, live music and the chance to win free Curbside for a year. Follow the restaurant on social media, @curbsideburger, to keep up with the celebrations. 

Social Coffee, 521 N. Third St., Baton Rouge, has expanded its hours from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. 

Markets and more 

The Hornet Market: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at St. Alphonsus Family Center, 17545 Greenwell Springs Road, Greenwell Springs

The first Hornet Holiday Market will feature vendors with gifts, treats, kids crafts, raffles and more. Some of the vendors include Sharon Jean’s Pepper Jellies & More, Lee’s Bees, SugarMills, Candy Explosion and Southern Rose Bath Bombs. 

Fall Fest at Beauregard Market: 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at 522 Europe St., Baton Rouge

Nola Rouge, a women’s clothing store, will host various local small businesses for a fall fest vendor market just in time for the holidays. 

Community outreach: 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at First Love Church, 1201 N. 47th St., Baton Rouge

First Love Church will be bringing a Thanksgiving meal to the homeless people in the community. Interested participants are asked to donate a dish, dessert, rolls, water bottles, forks, spoons and/or napkins. Those interested can also assemble plates and help with delivery. New (food) on the block

Lit Pizza announced its November pizza of the month: The fig and prosciutto is made with fig spread, white sauce, mozzarella, dollops of ricotta, caramelized onion and finished with fresh arugula, balsamic glaze drizzle and slices of prosciutto di parma. Lit Pizza is located in Baton Rouge and surrounding areas. 

Check out Tallulah Food and Wine‘s new fall cocktail menu at 7000 Bluebonnet Blvd., Baton Rouge. Happy hour, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. every Friday, includes half-off specialty cocktails.

Seasonal risotto is back at Eliza Restaurant, 7970 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge — served with local mushrooms, sweet peas and grilled gulf fish. 

Wine and spirits 

Italian wine dinner: 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13, at Proverbial Wine Bistro, 9668 Antioch Road, Baton Rouge

The five-course dinner includes dishes like mushroom agnolotti, lamb shank arancini and fig panna cotta. Tickets are $135 per person, available for purchase at sevenrooms.com.

Mark your calendar 

Thanksgiving culinary camp: 9 a.m. to noon Monday, Nov. 20 to Wednesday, Nov. 22, at Young Chefs Academy of Baton Rouge, 7970 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge

Young chefs will learn the tricks of holiday treats at the three-day camp. Registration is $210 for three days or $75 per day, available for purchase at batonrougela.youngchefsacademy.com. Registration is required for all YCA events. For ages 7 and up.

Breakfast with Santa: 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Dec. 2, at California Pizza Kitchen, 10001 Perkins Rowe, Baton Rouge

Jingle Bell Brunch: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, at Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center, 201 Lafayette St., Baton Rouge

Santa is coming back to the Hilton for brunch in the Heidelberg Ballroom. Brunch for the family will feature a hot chocolate bar, sugar cookie decorating, photos with Santa and more.
