Fans of Paramore can rejoice because the rock band is here to stay.
Variety confirmed on Friday, Jan. 5, that the trio is not parting up after they erased their social media platforms and the band’s official website, throwing fans into a tailspin.
Instead, the band is a free agent, i.e., not linked with any record label as of now, following the end of their contract with Atlantic Records, a source told the site.
Hayley Williams, lead vocalist for the band Paramore, signed with the label in 2003, causing friction with the band’s other members, Zach and Josh Farro.
The brothers left the band, but Zach returned in 2017, reuniting the trio with Williams and guitarist Taylor York, who joined in 2019.
They recently completed their 2023 tour, which followed the publication of their album This Is Why about a year ago.
Following rumors of their breakup, Paramore expressed reservations about appearing as an opening act on Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Europe later this year.
In addition, they have a few festival dates planned in Central and South America for March.
