Klarna, a global payments network and AI-driven shopping assistant, has partnered with Zalando, a leading online fashion and lifestyle retailer in Europe, to elevate the shopping and payments experience for customers across Southern Europe. This collaboration will introduce Klarna’s widely acclaimed ‘Pay in 3′ service to Zalando’s Fashion Store in France, Italy, and Spain.

Tessa Roetzmeier, Zalando Payments’ Head of Product, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, emphasising the added flexibility it brings to their customers, allowing them to select payment methods tailored to their unique circumstances.

Joséphine Soublin, Klarna’s Country Manager for France, highlighted Zalando’s stature as a premier fashion platform in Europe, noting the collaboration’s intent to introduce innovative payment solutions to Southern European customers. Zalando, with its presence across 25 markets and a customer base exceeding 50 million, offers a range of fashion items, including clothing, footwear, accessories, and beauty products.

The partnership aims to empower Zalando’s customers by offering flexibility and convenience in their shopping experiences. Klarna’s ‘Pay in 3’ service permits shoppers to split payments into three equal instalments, granting them the opportunity to enjoy their purchases immediately while providing the flexibility to try items before completing payment, all with the convenience of deferred payment.
