Despite many a temporary beauty transformation (the typical demands of an impressive modelling career), it’s safe to say that the Hadid sisters have their own signature style, especially when it comes to hair. Those of us that grew up alongside Bella and Gigi will be used to their cultivated trademark styles and the slight tweaks, cuts and colours that the siblings have made throughout their careers.
While Gigi started her career as the poster girl for sunkissed beachy waves, more recent years have seen the Next In Fashion presenter make the transition to the perfect buttermilk platinum blonde. Meanwhile, her younger sister Bella has stayed true to sporting a rich chocolate brunette shade for quite some time. At least until this weekend.
Gigi was the first to make headlines for a major hair transformation this weekend, as she sidelined her go-to long hair and became the latest celebrity to embrace the bob trend. The 28-year-old’s fresh cut is a statement to say the least; think softly angular yet blunt Italian bob that slightly passes the jawline, finished with a soft tousled styling.

While we’ve seen Gigi with a bob before, in campaigns and throughout her many fashion months, this daring new trim is the shortest her natural hair has been cut since the American Music Awards in 2015. Fluffy and playful, it’s safe to say that we’re obsessed with this one and can’t wait to see it make its red carpet and runway debuts.
Meanwhile, Bella also soft-launched a covetable new hairstyle this weekend while attending The American Performance Horseman by Teton Ridge in Texas, in support of her new boyfriend, cowboy Adan Banuelos.
The younger Hadid debuted a far softer brunette for the occasion, complete with a cowboy hat. Because, why not? Not only does Bella’s striking new hair take on a lighter, more neutral shade than we’re used to seeing on her, but it appears the supermodel has also traded her glossy runway finish for an effortlessly textured wave.
Despite the duos transformations being aptly timed, it’s safe to say that we’re no closer to getting a twinning styling from the Hadids, but fingers crossed for next time.
