A train crashed into a car on Fayetteville Street in Durham on Friday night.

Durham Police Department has closed all North and South bound traffic at Fayetteville Street and East Pettigrew Street until further notice.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area and find alternate routes.

This was Amtrak Piedmont Train 78 en route from Charlotte to Raleigh. The crash is currently under investigation.

There are no reports of injuries at this time.
