Fifth-Ranked TCU Withstands ACU – Abilene Christian University Athletics


FORT WORTH – Fifth-ranked Texas Christian scored a 7-0 win over Abilene Christian but not without a challenge on Wednesday.
 
ACU was tough in doubles, losing a pair of 6-4 decisions at the top of the lineup while Mihaly Deli and Jose Maria Rastrojo led 6-5 in an unfinished No. 3 match.
 
Dario Kmet took three games from third-ranked Jack Pinnington and Cesar Barranquero won four against 30th-ranked Sebastian Gorzny.
 
The Wildcats return to action on Feb. 2 for the home opener, taking on Texas-Permian Basin at noon and Hardin-Simmons at 4 p.m.
