Fifty Fifty’s ‘Cupid’ Is the First Female K-Pop Group Single in the UK Top 10

The K-pop girl group Fifty Fifty’s hit song “Cupid” is the first song by a female K-pop group to make it into the Top Ten of the UK Singles Chart. In its sixth straight week on the chart, the song moved up to No. 9.

They were the fastest K-pop girl group to get on a chart when they went straight to No. 96 on the United Kingdom’s Official Charts only four months after their first performance. Since they got on the list, they have reached a new high every week and slowly increased.

Cupid previously peaked at No. 18, making it the first single by a female K-pop group that is separate from a collaboration to reach that high on the charts. They follow fellow rookies New Jeans and Blackpink on the chart and are the fourth K-pop group overall.

They also set a record for the quickest entry into the Billboard Hot 100 by a K-pop female group and have stayed there for nearly six weeks. In their sixth week, they were almost in the Top 40, but they missed it by just one spot. They were No. 41.
