Finance committee to consider abating taxes for historic building

The city of Brunswick’s finance committee will meet on Monday to consider, among other things, waiving fees and taxes for a company rebuilding a historic building at the corner of Newcastle and Monck streets.

Owner Robin Durant, one of the investors involved in the project, applied for the waiver of fees adding up to over $46,000.
