Though there’s never a shortage of festivals, markets and other cultural happenings in the Augusta area, we’ve chosen to spotlight these events for the weekend of Feb. 21-23.

  • WHERE: Miller Theater (708 Broad St., Augusta)
  • WHEN: Friday, Feb. 21 at 7:30 p.m. ($38.50 to $48.50)
  • DETAILS: There are still tickets available for tonight’s performance by the tribute band ZOSO performing music from the iconic rock band Led Zeppelin. The LA Times called ZOSO “head and shoulders above all other Led Zeppelin tributes.”

Augusta University Basketball, Senior Night, and Homecoming

  • WHEN: Saturday, Feb 22. Women start at 1:30 p.m., the men start at 5:30 p.m. (Tickets free -$10)
  • WHERE: Christenberry Fieldhouse (3109 Wrightsboro Road, Augusta)
  • DETAILS: It’s homecoming and senior night for the Augusta University men’s and women’s basketball teams. Both teams take on Peach Belt Conference rival the University of North Georgia at home.

Honoring Black History Month Through Fashion: The Queen Collection

  • WHEN: Saturday, Feb. 22, 6-8 p.m. ($20)
  • WHERE: 1250 Reynolds St., Augusta
  • DETAILS: The event pays tribute to the elegance and influence of black fashion icons throughout history – from iconic looks to modern interpretations.

Melodies & Masterpieces, from North Augusta Forward

  • WHEN: Saturday, Feb. 22 (6:30-11 pm)
  • WHERE:  1060 Center St., North Augusta ($125-$250)
  • DETAILS: This fundraiser benefits North Augusta Forward. Dueling piano performance, unlimited food, coffee, open bar, watch local artist paint, and a raffle. Email [email protected] for ticket information.

  • WHERE: Bell Auditorium, 712 Telfair St., Augusta (tickets start at $47)
  • DETAILS: Lee Brice is a country music singer and songwriter who had recorded songs like “Hard to Love”, “I Don’t Dance”, and “A Woman Like You”. His special guest for the show is singer-songwriter Edwin McCain.
