Sister Helen’s Food Pantry, organized by St. John the Baptist Church, is holding a food drive from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot behind the church, off Ann Street.

There is a great need to fill the shelves for the spring and summer seasons, according to volunteer Gracie Scirto. Currently, she observed, need seems to be growing each week, and come summertime, when children are not in school, they won’t have access to free breakfast and lunch.

To contribute, fill a bag with nonperishable food items and drop it off during the appointed hours on Sunday. Monetary donations are always welcomed.
