Former Nickelodeon Actor Drake Bell Charges Dialogue Coach Brian Peck of Child Abuse

Former child star Drake Bell has spoken up about the alleged abuse he suffered as a 15-year-old in the entertainment industry.

Bell shares his terrible experience in the upcoming documentary series Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, which will air on Investigation Discovery on March 17 and 18.

In the documentary, Bell describes being sexually abused by Brian Peck, a dialogue coach best known for his work on famous Nickelodeon sitcoms All That and The Amanda Show.

He rose to prominence from 1999 to 2002, and now, on Drake & Josh, which debuted in 2004, he fearlessly reveals his experience, bringing light to the harsh realities that can lurk behind the scenes of children’s television programs.

In August 2003, the former conversation coach was arrested on 11 accusations related to child abuse.

In May 2004, Peck pleaded not guilty to counts ranging from participating in an indecent act with a youngster aged 14 or 15 to or*l copulation with a minor under 16 years old.

In October 2004, he received a 16-month prison sentence and was required to register as a sex offender.

In 2022, BI published an inquiry into Schneider’s children’s television business. Former child actors and crew members from shows such as The Amanda Show, Zoey 101, and Victorious told BI that Schneider created an unsettling, strange environment on production.

According to sources, a writer on the program filed a gender-discrimination and hostile-workplace suit in 2000, alleging that Schneider repeatedly sought massages. The matter was settled out of court for an undisclosed amount.

Others told BI that Schneider created sexualized sequences and encouraged young female performers to wear tight clothing.
