
Former WHO 13 political director Dave Price is returning to local TV ahead of the 2024 Iowa Caucuses.
After his departure from the central Iowa NBC affiliate in April, Price will join Gray Television as the company’s Iowa political director and analyst. He will also appear on a weekly political show.
While fans won’t see his work on air in Des Moines, Price will contribute to Gray’s eight local TV stations serving the state.

Price is a well-known presence in the state’s political media, especially as an expert on the Iowa Caucuses, which take place this presidential cycle in January. Price is the author of two books on the Iowa Caucuses, “Caucus Chaos” and “Caucus Chaos Trump.”
In 2001, Price began his career at WHO after stints in Columbia, Missouri and Montgomery, Alabama. During his time at WHO, he was the station’s managing editor and Sunday evening news anchor.
Price was also the host and executive producer of a Sunday community affairs show “The Insiders.”
