Free course for Lambeth residents aged 18-30: Gaining Employment in Visual Arts and Curation


Have you ever wondered what it might be like to work in visual arts or curation?

Or perhaps you have started your creative career journey, and need some support around the next steps to take? Then let this course help you kickstart your career in visual arts and curation!

198 Contemporary Arts and Learning, in collaboration with the Walcot Foundation, are offering Lambeth residents aged 18 – 30 a FREE course on building a sustainable career as an artist or curator.

The course is taught by the team at 198, along with guest speakers such as artistic and curatorial duo Languid Hands and more.

They offer a supportive environment to develop your artistic vision, take practical steps towards a visual arts career, develop your interview skills and network with like-minded individuals.

Furthermore, you’ll have access to their Mac computer workspace, equipped with Adobe and Microsoft 365, and one to one support offered by their Employability Programme team.

The course takes place on Thursdays and Fridays, 11:30am – 3:30pm, 15th February 2024 – 8th March 2024, followed by a month of follow-up support.
