Free Paper Shredding, Food Collection Event At Central Bucks East


BUCKINGHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — State Sen. Steve Santarsiero and State Rep. Tim Brennan are teaming up to hold a free paper-shredding event and food collection drive.

The event takes place on Saturday, April 6 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Central Bucks High School East, 2804 Holicong Road, Doylestown.

Residents from the 10th senatorial district and the 29th state legislative district are invited to bring their sensitive documents to shred, including paper, checks, bills, and manila folders. Staples and paper clips do not need to be removed. Phone books, books, newspapers, and non-paper items will not be accepted. There is a two-box (file box, copy paper box or reusable containers) maximum for the event.

The event will also be accepting donations of non-perishable food for the Bucks County Opportunity Council. Acceptable items include fruit juice; breakfast cereals; peanut butter; soup; canned chicken, tuna or salmon; applesauce; canned fruit; canned vegetables; beans; pasta; and rice. The collection will also accept various toiletry items
