Free youth tennis lessons to start

The organization led by McCoy and Ford teams up with the City of Daytona Beach and the United States Tennis Association to provide free tennis lessons for youth. The next session begins Feb. 6.


Free Youth tennis lessons are set to begin on Feb. 6 at Derbyshire Sports Complex at 849 Derbyshire Road.

The lessons are free and will run every Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. beginning on Feb. 6. through April.

Youth ages 6 to 18 will learn the basics of playing tennis.

The program is provided by Derbyshire Community Tennis, Inc., which is a local non-profit organization.

The lessons are sponsored by the City of Daytona Beach and the United States Tennis Association (USTA).

On-site registration will be available. No registration will be accepted after the third week.
