Fried Pork Chops w/ Nelson’s Barnyard Buffet


We head to Nelson’s Barnyard Buffet in Saraland to check out their famous pork chops and see how they’re made!

INGREDIENTS:

  • Seasoning Salt
  • Pork Chops of choice
  • Eggs
  • Milk
  • Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • Spices of Choice
  • All Purpose Flour
  • Corn Flour
  • Garlic Salt

STEPS:

1. Rinse pork chops and place in a mixing bowl or deep container. Sprinkle the top with seasoning salt, then fill the container with water to create a brine. Refrigerate overnight.

2. Make egg wash. Crack your eggs in a bowl and add milk, salt, pepper, and other spices such as paprika, cayenne, garlic, onion, or brown sugar.

3. Make breading. Mix All-Purpose Flour with Corn Flour, Garlic Salt, and Black Pepper.

4. Drain pork chops. Dip completely in egg wash. Coat heavily with breading.

5. Deep fry on 350 degrees for 6-8 minutes or until golden brown.
