The Hangsun 12L dehumidifier has been winning rave reviews on the online retail site – especially after having its price slashed, amid a week of pre-Christmas sales kicked off by Black Friday.

The item has just been made available on Amazon for £138.96 – down by £80.02, or 37 per cent, from its previous price of £218.98.

Fans online have told of their amazement at how the gadget not only keeps condensation and damp from hitting their homes’ walls – but also seems to help their washing dry much more swiftly.

One happy shopper went on to the site to urge others to make the most of the new price cut.

They wrote: “I bought the dehumidifier for the sole reason of drying laundry quicker – it did not disappoint.

“This is a must-have for winter clothes drying.”

‘GREAT JOB DRYING OUT CLOTHES’

Another reviewer described feeling frustration before when clothes “weren’t drying fast enough” when hanging in the bathroom.

They said of the new purchase: “So far it’s been doing a great job drying out my clothes a lot faster than they normally would.

“It’s also compact and easy to move around, so when I have a shower late in the evening it helps everything dry out.”

They did add, as a bracketed caveat: “It does take a few hours.”

A satisfied customer with a home gym featuring a treadmill and other kit commented: “The amount of water I pour out of the unit is amazing and would otherwise be dripping down the walls or getting into the equipment.”

Another said they were “very happy with its performance both as an actual dehumidifier and as an effective method for drying laundry”.

And a poster wrote of feeling “impressed at the amount of water collected from clothes drying”.

The tips come as a homes expert warned about the potential humidity effects of drying clothes indoors.

There have also been five tips on mistakes to avoid when drying laundry using an airer.

Yet others have also recommended different humidifiers, including a mum on one costing 1p to run – and advice on using them best.

Money Saving Expert consumer guru Martin Lewis has been among those urging caution over this week’s Black Friday discount offers.

He labelled some supposed deals online “decent”, others “OK” yet others “duds” such as a Barbie doll available for less earlier this year, a sparkling water maker and a Kindle e-reader.
