“There is no reason that the Israeli government should not simply flip the switch back on and allow civilians in Gaza to resume drinking clean water and have the electricity they need to power it,” says Sari Bashi of Human Rights Watch. “There has been no talk of the need to simply turn the water and electricity back on to allow hospitals some modicum of ability to function.”
