George Santos To Sue Jimmy Kimmel Over Cameo Prank

Former congressman George Santos is taking legal action against Jimmy Kimmel, ABC and Disney over the alleged misuse of his Cameo videos. Santos claims Kimmel induced him to create videos under false pretenses, intending to ridicule him. The lawsuit, which is seeking $750,000 in damages, accuses the defendants of copyright infringement, fraud, breach of contract and unjust enrichment. Kimmel featured Santos in a segment of “Will Santos Say It?” on Jimmy Kimmel Live, where fake requests were made using Cameo. The requests included having Santos congratulate a person for eating six pounds of loose ground beef in less than 30 minutes. Santos’ attorney argued that despite the show’s intention to air the videos on television, they were obtained under a “personal use” license. Representatives for ABC, Disney and Kimmel have not yet commented on the matter.
