LEEPER – The 2023 Gingerbread Tour will be held Friday through Sunday, Nov. 3-5.
Vendors will be located at the following places along the 20 mile corridor between Cook Forest State Park and Brookville:
- Briar Hill Rustic Furniture located at 4169 Route 36 in Leeper offers a wide variety of bedroom, living room and outdoor furniture and unique home decor. All furniture is made on location. The shop is open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- The Nook Nacs Gift Shop attached to The Forest Nook located at 3121 Forest Road in Vowinckel has unique items from local artists, baked goods and everyday items. Tours will be held on Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Cook Forest Sawmill Center for the Arts located at 170 Theater Lane in Cooksburg will host more than 75 local artists displaying handcrafted items including woodwork, painting, photos, candles, jewelry, crocheted sweaters, quilts, metal work, leather goods, home decor and more. Tour hours are Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Rising Smoke BBQ will be present all three days. Indoor seating is available for this event.
• Cooksburg Dry Goods Gift Shoppe located at 115 Riverside Drive in Cooksburg features a variety of candles, tableware, collectable ornaments, Folkmanis wildlife puppets, Bearington Baby Collection, children’s books and much more. Tour hours are Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Cook Forest Wines located at 15361 Route 36 in Cooksburg offers a variety of local wines including red, white and specialty dessert wines that are available for purchase by the glass or the bottle. Tour hours are Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Parker’s Indian Trading Post located at 14171 Route 36 in Clarington presents Minnetonka Moccasins, Rustic Charms Candles, wild berry incense, unique stocking stuffers, candy, maple cakes and a rock shop. Tour hours are Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Pickle Barrel located at 13867 Route 36 in Clarington features handmade, local one-of-a-kind items, home decor, primitives, furniture, wall art, pet supplies, pottery, bath items, candy, fudge, jams, pickles, pickle novelties and much more. Tour hours are Friday and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Evergreen Cabins and Mercantile located at 13278 Route 36 in Clarington has unique rustic items, live edge cutting boards, local art, handmade candles, holiday decorations, gifts and a chocolate shop on site. Tour hours are Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Quiet Creek Herb Farm and School of Country Living located at 93 Quiet Creek Lane in Brookville will have herb plants, teas, soaps, oil and salves. Tour hours are Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Heirloom Quilting located at 1225 Route 36 North in Brookville offers over 9,000 bolts of 100% cotton fabric, threads of all kinds, buttons, patterns, books, flannels, homespuns and wide backings. Tour hours will be daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Blackbird Distillery located at 93 Blackout Alley in Brookville features handmade moonshine, smoked meats, 16 types of cheeses and homemade canned goods. Tour hours are Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Dan Smith’s Candies located at Corner Plaza, 301 West Main Street in Brookville has a wide variety of milk and dark chocolates, peanut butter melt-aways, chocolate covered pretzels, old fashioned holiday mint and sea salt caramels. Tour hours are Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Open House Shop located at 285 Main Street in Brookville features authentic primitives, country home decor, custom-made farm tables, crocks, vintage advertising, Jack Daniel’s whiskey barrels for sale or rent and more. Tour hours are Friday and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Pink Missie’s This and That located at 168 Main Street in Brookville presents vintage and new home decor, lamps, teas, teapots, furniture, dishes, linens, April Cornell, jewelry, handmade doilies, KitCat Klocks, nesting dolls, unique cards, Naked Bee products, Mid-Century Modern, canes, candles and more.
