“Good Morning America” host Robin Roberts made a final stop in New Orleans this weekend in a celebration tour honoring her marriage to longtime partner Amber Laign.
Roberts, a Mississippi Coast native, danced the night away with her wife and closest family members Saturday night, a video she posted to Instagram shows.
Members of the Krewe of Zulu Social Aid & Pleasure Club danced with the newlyweds during a classic second line performance at the event, hosted by Roberts’ siblings.
The couple wed on Sept. 9 in Connecticut, with about 250 people attending.
Roberts grew up in Pass Christian and often visits the Mississippi Coast and the New Orleans area. Her sister, Sally-Ann Roberts, was a longtime journalist for WWL-TV. Robin Roberts got her start in journalism at WLOX-TV in Biloxi.
Dorothy Roberts has a Pass Christian gift shop named after her sister called Robin’s Nest, and also opened Roberts Place Café nearby.
