Golden Globe Nomination for Taylor Swift’s ‘The Eras Tour’


Taylor Swift reached another major milestone when her concert film The Eras Tour was nominated for a Golden Globe Award in 2024.

After being the highest-grossing concert film of all time globally, the pop megastar’s film, which documented the musician’s blockbuster concert tour, is nominated for cinematic and box office achievement.

According to People, Swift’s concert film will compete in the newly announced category of the 2019 awards with this year’s big films Barbie and Oppenheimer.

Furthermore, numerous popular films were nominated in the same category, including The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1, John Wick: Chapter 4, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Notably, The Eras Tour film garnered $250 million at the global box office, according to reports.

Swift previously sent the internet into a frenzy when she announced that the extended version of her concert film will be available for rent on demand beginning December 13, which also happens to be her birthday.

The Blank Space singer rushed to Instagram and wrote a poignant message for all Swifites throughout the world.

“Hi! Well, so, basically, I have a birthday coming up, and I was thinking a fun way to celebrate the year we’ve had together would be to make The Eras Tour Concert Film available for you to watch at home,” she wrote.

Furthermore, the Grammy-winning singer reminded her fans that the film’s extended version would include her renowned songs such as Wildest Dreams, The Archer, and Long Live.
