GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WITN) – Police in the east are investigating a crash that sent a teenage girl to the hospital Monday evening.

The Goldsboro Police Department says a 14-year-old girl was hit by a car traveling south on Berkeley Boulevard at Langston Drive just after 5 p.m.

The victim was taken to UNC Health Wayne initially before being moved to ECU Health Medical Center for treatment, according to investigators.

Officers say the driver of the vehicle and a witness stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Officials say no charges have been pressed at this time.
