LEBANON,.Va. (WVVA) – The Graham G-men’s season ends in the VHSL Class 2 state semifinals.
The Graham G-men took on the Virginia Bearcats in the Class 2 state semifinals Friday, with both teams eyeing a spot in the state championship game.
Virginia would get to a hot start leading 17-6 and 21-12 after a quarter. The lead would stay nine heading into the second half at 39-30, but in the third quarter Graham would stifle up to make it 50-46 entering the fourth.
In the fourth, Virginia would reclaim a nine-point lead, only for Graham to answer right back and make it 61-60 with 16.7 to go. The G-men would be forced to foul and the Bearcats missed one of two free throws, but on Graham’s final possession the team had two shots to tie or take the lead but neither dropped as Graham falls 62-60.
