Gray Apple Market: Shop for home decor and now enjoy a coffee or pastry at new cafe

Now you can enjoy a cup of coffee while shopping at Gray Apple Market, a quaint and charming home decor store tucked away in an old ice shed.

It was an idea Sarah Inch had ever since she started hosting her annual Gray Apple Market vendor events, outside her shop in Manchester Township. Her love for interior design started at a young age when she observed her father work, building custom kitchens for his business, Neiman’s Cabinet Shop in New Oxford, and her passion eventually blossomed into a business of her own.

During the winter, spring and fall months, Sarah hosts the Gray Apple Market outside her home store. It’s an outdoor vendor event featuring small businesses selling their home decor, home products, handmade gifts and clothing.

In 2018, with the help of her husband Jeff, the two turned an old 1800s icehouse into the modern home decor shop, and Sarah began hosting vendor events.

“We started out with five vendors, and eventually grew to 200,” she said.

Nothing pairs better with a shopping day than a cup of coffee, but there aren’t many places to go for coffee near the store.

That’s when Sarah decided to expand and add a cafe to the home store.

When you walk in the shop, the smells of lavender, candles, fresh flora meet your nose.

The shop is neatly organized with home decor items, including a variety of mirrors, kitchen utensils, copperware, home bar accessories, vases, plates, bowls and more.

The cafe offers locally made pastries including French macaroons by Cece, tiramisu, liege waffles, muffins and lemon ricotta bundt cakes. Lollipops made with dried flowers are also available.

Just a few steps to your left lead you to a charming cafe space, with a brown bar and marble countertop. The space is intimate but welcoming. The menu is condensed and unique, including coffee beverages, tea and fruit and flower inspired spritz refreshers such as orange turmeric, honey lavender and pomegranate lime.

Sarah wanted to provide a quaint, relaxing space where people could work, bring their friends and enjoy themselves.
