Greta Gerwig’s ‘Barbie’ Outperforms ‘Wonder Woman’ Domestically

Barbie’s home opening was bigger than Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, which was directed by Patty Jenkins and starred by Jenkin.

Wonder Woman made about $103.3 million in its first weekend, but Barbie broke the record by making $155 million in a short amount of time after it came out.

Barbie is now the most popular movie in North America because of this. The director of Lady Bird is the only other woman to break this record.

This year, the fantasy thriller starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling has become the best movie to open. It has also done better at the box office than Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer and beat the record set by Wonder Woman.

Both Barbie and Oppenheimer came out on July 21, and both had amazing opening weekends, earning $155 million and $80 million, respectively.

Greta’s colorful fantasy movie brings the most famous fashion doll to the big screen. This is part of Warner Bros. and Mattel’s marketing effort, as reported by Pinkvilla.

Greta Gerwig is well-known for being a director and an actor. Some of her most famous works are Lady Bird, Little Women, No Strings Attached, Greenberg, and others.
