Grimes made her first public appearance after getting into a Twitter fight with her ex-boyfriend Elon Musk and finding out that they have a third secret child together.
The Canadian musician led a live conversation at The Theatre at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles on Wednesday about the question, “Has the sexual revolution failed?”
Along with writer and podcaster Sarah Haider, the Genesis singer argued in favor of “yes” against British journalist Louse Perry and Red Scare podcaster Anna Khachiyan.
“Women could become obsolete in five years,” the tech mogul’s ex-wife said, voicing her worries about the unchecked progress of AI.
She also criticized the digital age and how it affects pornography today in terms of how easy it is to find.
She said, “I wouldn’t want my kids to see it, I think it harms relationships.”
The debate was won by the all-girl team, which got 51% of the audience’s votes.
The Vancouver native did not talk about her ex-boyfriend Musk or their newly announced third child, though.
The new biography of Space X founder Elon Musk, written by Walter Isaacson, has gotten a lot of media interest. In it, it was revealed that Musk and Grimes have a secret third child, Techno Mechanicus.
Soon after, Grimes went on X (which used to be Twitter) to ask Musk and his new baby mama, Neuralink director Shivon Zilis, why they were keeping her children from her.
But the two women quickly made up, and in their next X posts, they only said nice things about each other. Grimes confirmed the rumors about Techno, and Zilis congratulated her on the news.
Notably, Musk hasn’t said anything about it.
