On Thursday, Gucci relocated its boutique in Aspen to the Historic District on South Galena St. at 204 S. Galena. The 5,600-square-foot store includes a private VIP shopping area, along with its variety of men’s and women’s small leather goods, handbags, accessories, shoes, sunglasses, jewelry, luggage, and other items from Gucci Valigeria.

“Gucci is thrilled to open its newly-relocated boutique within the heart of the Aspen community. This boutique, nestled on South Galena Street, harmoniously merges Italian design elements with the natural beauty of the surroundings. It offers an intimate, elevated shopping experience enhanced by a private shopping area,” said Federico Turconi, president and CEO of Gucci Americas.

The building’s stone façade features a mono-hued motif to frame the store’s logo, and each window showcases green, handmade artisan Maiolica tiles. Inside, marble and wood flooring and walls with soft fabric lend to the sophisticated ambiance.

“The use of clean lines and an understated palette adds to the environment’s polished and subtle charm,” stated Allie Grandjean, Gucci public relations manager, in a press release. “Envisioned to make guests feel at home, the store is framed with built-in displays reminiscent of walk-in closets while newly-designed racks inspired by classic brass designs gracefully accommodate diverse product categories.”

The boutique connects its Aspen location with the brand, blending velvet armchairs and sofas along with local vintage finds and shaggy green rugs. The space has also been designed following LEED guidelines that promote energy efficiency, the release noted.

And, just in time for the winter season, the Gucci Après Ski collection offers exclusive products only available at the Aspen boutique.
