Gucci – Student (Fixed Term) (Trainee)

Following the guidelines and input of the Men’s Celebrities Senior Designer the Celebrities Junior Designer Intern will support Designers developing a collection/special project in line with the Brand aesthetic and principles.
Key Accountabilities
Research trends and inspirations:
- Participate in the creativity of the category through knowledge of latest trends
- Monitor the marketplace to identify opportunities to stay ahead of the competitors
- Based on a theme or on Design Director inputs, research inspiration thought:
- Vintage markets
- Suppliers
- Archives
- Web
- Expositions
- Books
Design and creativity:
- Develop sketches based on Designer/Senior Designer inputs and the Brand aesthetic
- Propose new ideas
- Share the draws with the Designer/ Senior Designer and modify or integrate with size, proportion, materials and colors
- Support Designers applying graphic corrections (colors, materials) on draws realized by Designers or developing rendering
Collection development:
- Support Designer in dealing with practical and bureaucratic requests coming from Product Development
- Organize the Board to present the collection to the Design Director, under the supervision of the Designer
- Develop PowerPoint presentations to show the Collection/Special Project developed by the category
- Collaborate with Designers in dressing models during the fittings
Requirements
Functional
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Excellent in freehand drawing
- Good knowledge in product development constructions, materials, fabrics, techniques and industrial production processes
- Sound culture of fashion, trends, designers and history of the Brand
- Proficient on all design platforms as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Suite as well
- Positive spirit, able to forge working teams with different multi-cultural personalities
- Ability to maintain energy, focus and to work under pressure
- Fluency in English
