Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are teaming up to release a romantic duet ahead of Valentine’s Day.

The song, titled Purple Irises, will be released on Friday, February 9, and will feature the couple’s soulful vocals over a nostalgic soundtrack.

Stefani and Shelton announced their upcoming collaboration by sharing the cover shot on their Instagram accounts earlier this week.

It showed the couple dressed entirely in denim, facing away from the camera in opposite directions. The Hollaback Girl sat on a yellow striped couch, while the country artist played his guitar from a piano chair.

Stefani also shared a preview of the song on her TikTok account, where they blasted out their vocals in a song disguised as a love letter to each other.

The 54-year-old singer earlier teased the next song on social media, uploading a snapshot of a bunch of purple irises in a vase with love messages from Shelton.

The collaborative project will also serve as a deterrent to rumors regarding her reported marital problems with the Austin musician.
