Halle Bailey confirmed months of speculation about her pregnancy when she announced the birth of her son.

On Saturday, January 6, the Little Mermaid actress, 23, took to Instagram to share a photo of her new baby and reveal his name.

“Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son,” Bailey said in the description of the photo.

“Welcome to the world my halo [loved up emoji, angel baby and sparkles emoji] the world is desperate to know you,” she stated, adding a wink, sobbing laughing, and heart emoji for good measure.

The actress and artist, who has been romantically linked to rapper DDG, 26, since January 2022, fueled pregnancy rumors in September following the former’s presence at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards.

Next month, she was photographed in California, when fans saw her increasing baby bump. Bailey continued to wear loose-fitting garments in subsequent outings, implying that she was concealing her pregnancy.

Moreover, DDG, born Darryl Dwayne Granberry, released his latest song Darryl Freestyle earlier on Saturday, in which he makes a number of sweet references to a newborn named Halo.
