A market celebrating food from across the globe is set to return to Stoke-on-Trent.

The Continental Market – featuring cuisine from countries including China, Germany, Poland and Greece – will be set up in Hanley city centre.

It also promotes the culture of communities across Stoke-on-Trent, through food and a range of crafts, clothing and jewellery.

It runs from next Thursday until Sunday.

This year marks the fifth time the city has hosted the market, and stalls will be located in Parliament Row and Upper Market Square.

It will join the regular outdoor traders who operate from Fountain Square, Stoke-on-Trent City Council said.

Councillor Amjid Wazir, cabinet member for environment and enforcement said: “Each year, traders bring a fantastic sense of culture, delicious food, and beautifully crafted items.”
