A pair of Minot State soccer players were honored for their all-around effort on the field and off this season as redshirt-sophomore defender Sierra Haren and sophomore defender Rebecca Storr each were named to the College Sports Communicator’s Academic All-District Team.

Haren is a Radiologic Technology major from Chandler, Arizona who played in 17 games for the Beavers this season with one assist.

Storr is a Biology major from Aarau, Switzerland who also played in 17 games this season, scoring one goal and assisting on another for Minot State.

To be named to the Academic All-District Team a player must be at least a sophomore in their second season with their team, must have started 66 percent of the team’s games or played in 90 percent of the team’s games during the current season, and must maintain a 3.50 cumulative GPA.

Both Haren and Storr now become eligible to earn Academic All-American honors. Academic All-Americans will be announced Dec. 20.
