‘Haunting of Hill House’ Actor Paxton Singleton Jailed in Arkansas


Paxton Singleton was arrested in Arkansas for loitering and possessing alcohol while underage.

The 19-year-old Haunting of Hill House star was arrested in Siloam Springs on Friday on accusations of loitering and having alcohol as a juvenile.

According to TMZ, Singleton posted a $430 bond for the loitering allegation and was freed on Saturday morning. The actor’s court case is now set for February 29.

Singleton, best known for playing the younger version of Steven Crain in the 2018 Netflix smash The Haunting of Hill House, has recently faced legal issues.

The Netflix miniseries based on Shirley Jackson’s 1959 novel was arrested for loitering and underage alcohol possession in Siloam Springs.

Singleton played a younger version of Steven Crain in Mike Flanagan’s critically praised series, which also starred Michiel Huisman, Carla Gugino, and Timothy Hutton.

The ten-episode series aired on Netflix on October 12, 2018, and has received significant appreciation, with a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 93%.
