Meagher will work with UTA on finding new opportunities in the digital landscape and work with the agency’s divisions that focus on fashion, branding and endorsements.

With his honest, unafraid-to-offend takes on fashion shows and Hollywood red carpets, Meagher (pronounced “mar”) has broken through in social media as one of the top style influencers in the world. He’s been profiled in Coveteur and Vogue (“Meagher offers a tantalizing vision of unfettered, direct-to-consumer fashion criticism—more Joan Rivers than Cathy Horyn,” wrote the publication) and has been named to the influential Business of Fashion 500 list (which praised him for bringing “fashion criticism to the digital age.”) His HauteLeMode Instagram account has 377k followers, while his YouTube channel has 835k subscribers.

A self-professed lover of coffee-table books on fashion, Meagher, 27, is known for his knowledge of style history, mixing in context on brands along with his hot takes on which designers and stars are soaring and which are flopping.

In a recent 40-minute video titled “The Grammys 2024 Roast,” he critiqued music stars’ red carpet looks for the awards show, saying that “for the most part, it kinda sucked.” He liked Miley Cyrus’ custom by John Galliano for Maison Margiela look, made out of thousands of gold safety pins, calling it “beautiful” and providing information on how the designer drew inspiration from one of his previous outfits from the late 1990s. He was underwhelmed (to say the least) though by how Taylor Swift styled her white Schiaparelli gown, expressing disappointment that she hadn’t paired it with some of the house’s surrealist accessories. ”Give me something weird. You’re wearing the brand that’s all about weird, It’s about being surreal, and you’re just being not that. That’s why I’m mad,” said Meagher.

Said UTA creators agent Pranav Mandavia in a statement: “Luke’s exceptional talent and influence in the creator economy perfectly complements our vision for expansion, especially in the fashion world. Together, we’re positioned to synergize our strengths — with his creative ingenuity and our strategic resources, we’re poised to create new opportunities while he continues to provide the content his worldwide audience adores.” Meagher will continue to be represented by Zach Cole at Whalar.

Meagher, who grew up in Staten Island, New York, started HauteLeMode as a blog, eventually turning it into a YouTube channel in 2015. His tagline across his social media channels reads: “Fun. Sassy. Bitchy. Analytical.”
