Hayley Williams of the band Paramore almost kicked out a couple of troublemakers at her show at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night.
A video clip shows a male fan pushing his way through a quiet crowd, upsetting the peace, and finding a woman who wasn’t interested in his approaches. The band stopped playing as the two got into a fight of sorts.
Hayley Williams told the two, “Holy sh*t. F**k you! What is happening? Guys, yes, I will embarrass both of you.”
She said, “Both of you need to find somewhere else to take care of that s***, because it’s not happening here.” She also said that she didn’t think much of the two idiots for stopping a live performance of “This Is Why,” one of Paramore’s most popular songs.
The thing that happened happened in the last third of the show. It’s not clear if the two people were taken away or not.
Other than that, Williams and her alternative rock band are doing well. The band’s fourth album, “Eponymous,” celebrated its 10th anniversary last month. It was their sole album to reach the top of the Billboard 200 chart, covering a wide range of music genres.
The album had four singles: “Now,” “Daydreaming,” “Ain’t It Fun,” and “Still Into You,” the last two of which reached number 10 and number 24 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
“This Is Why,” the band’s sixth and most recent record, came out in February. It peaked at number 2 on the Billboard 200 chart, making it their fourth time in the top 10.
The next stop on Paramore’s tour in support of their new album is this Friday, June 2, 2023, at Capital One Arena in Washington, DC.
