ALEXANDRIA — A growing number of nutrition-focused businesses are popping up across northeast Alabama, offering residents convenient access to healthy meal replacement shakes, energizing teas and other wellness products.

With stores in Jacksonville, Alexandria, Oxford, Lincoln, Pell City, Glencoe and Gadsden, the nutrition products derive from a brand called Herbalife, and the stores who sell these products have shared an upward surge in popularity.
