Help available for veterans dealing with mental health issues

This week for Mental Health Monday, we introduced you to veteran Don Pagels, a Purple Heart recipient who shared his story of mental health struggles and recovery progress after enduring the trauma of war.

Dr. Vincent Croglio, a psychiatry specialist with WNY Psychiatry & Counseling Associates, joins Spectrum News 1 to discuss resources available for veterans struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues, as well as how to properly approach those conversations with veterans in your life.

If you are in need of assistance, you can call 988 to speak to a trained crisis counselor who can help with mental health-related distress.
