Andrey Rublev reached the last 16 of the Vienna Open with a 7-6(5) 6-4 win over Alexei Popyrin. The third-seeded Russian secured his opening round victory at the ATP 500 event in 97 minutes, but had to fight back from a break down to take the opening set. Rublev now needs just one more win to secure a place at the end-of-season ATP Finals in Turin. He faces Matteo Arnaldi next.
