“I think each day next week especially through late Wednesday I think we’re going to save more and more people you know traveling especially on those routes the leader in my area to large area,” he said.

Bohner also urged people to go into travel well-rested, swap drivers when needed and if you’re planning on going out drinking, get a sober driver.

“I think going into it rested for one thing and if you start to feel that little bit of drowsiness, because it’s cold out to the heat on in the car either stopping to take a break swapping drivers, having a few distraction as possible,” Bohner said.

If you’re flying, Bohner said to give yourself ample time at the airport to avoid high anxiety and stress levels, which can lead to making an unwanted scene.

“make a conscious decision right now, to not be that viral story of bad behavior that inevitably is going to pop up,” he said.

Overall, Sergeant Bohner urges all travelers to try and be patient and extra careful so you can celebrate with your family.
