Set on Christmas Eve, at the foot of a Christmas tree and seen through the eyes of a child’s imagination, Clara and the Nutcracker tells the tale of Clara, whose Christmas present of a toy nutcracker soldier inspires a magical dream, filled with battling mice, dancing sugar canes, and visits from ambassadors from afar. This year’s production boasts new costumes, new choreography, additional music, and exemplary dancing, featuring some of Nevada Country’s most accomplished young ballet dancers. With Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s timeless musical score, you won’t find better holiday entertainment. Children will be enchanted and adults will be inspired by this performance to remember.
