A HOMEOWNER decided to get revenge on their Home Owner’s Association’s strict decoration policies by ramping up their decor, prompting support from all corners of the internet.
The video was shared online and showed some of the decorations that the HOA wasn’t approving.
The story was shared on TikTok by Virginia (@FindingTrueNorth), who shared the clip as a response to a comment.
“This is my level of petty,” the comment read. “I love it.”
The video was shared on Halloween and showed the home’s decoration that caused a problem with the HOA and a $50 fine.
The decoration is that of a body, wrapped inside a tree and covered with some spider web.

“The HOA sent us a violation letter dated Thursday,” reads the text over the clip.
“After giving us until Friday.”
The video then travels all the way through the property, showing the new addition, which was put up in direct defiance of the HOA.
The new decoration is a skull sitting down on the toilet with its arms outstretched.

“More decor is in the mail!” Virginia captioned the post, adding a few hashtags that showed how upset she was with her HOA, like HOA nightmare, and malicious compliance.
Viewers of the video shared their thoughts in the comments section, with many criticizing HOAs.
“Remember kids, never ever buy a home with an HOA even if it’s your ‘dream house’ just don’t,” wrote someone.
Virginia replied to the comment, saying, “They’re getting harder and harder to avoid too.”
