Hope Hicks Meets Manhattan Prosecutors, Says NYT

Hope Hicks was a senior adviser to Donald Trump and spokeswoman for his 2016 campaign. The New York Times reported on Monday that she was seen walking into the Manhattan district attorney’s office. If she shows up, it could mean that the investigation into whether Trump paid hush money to a porn star while he was running for president will get more serious. At the end of January, prosecutors for District Attorney Alvin Bragg started giving evidence to a grand jury in the case. The Times said that Hicks, who is 34, is at least the seventh person to meet with Bragg’s office since the grand jury was put together. It wasn’t clear if she was meeting with prosecutors to answer their questions or if she would also have to testify before the grand jury. The lawyer for Hicks and the office of Bragg both refused to talk to the Times. It is also unclear if the district attorney will try to get Trump charged. The investigation has been called a “witch hunt” by Trump.
