Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.

Gertner was widely known for his contributions to Houston’s entertainment culture, particularly through his jazz and live music venues over the years. His name became synonymous with sophisticated nightlife, from the legendary Scott Gertner’s Skybar to his most recent endeavor, the Rhythm Room.
