How to Watch Tonight’s Jazz vs. Blazers Preseason Game

Tonight, the Portland Trail Blazers tip off against the Utah Jazz in their final 2024 preseason game. It’s also the debut of the Blazers’ new Rip City Television Network. Let’s go through your viewing options this evening.

You can see all your viewing options, including cable availability, on the Blazers’ Rip City Television Network list.

Tip-off: 7:00 pm

Everything listed below is for residents of Oregon or Washington. If you’re outside of those states, you’ll want to sign up for NBA League Pass.

Streaming:

This game is available via BlazerVision in high definition on the NBA app. There is a monthly payment option, but unfortunately it does not seem to be available for this partial month of October. You’ll need to pay the $120 yearly fee to see tonight’s game (and all games this season afterward). Once signed up. you can watch games via the NBA App for your favorite device, or through their web page.

Television:

Portland: Charge! Channel 2.2
Seattle: TBD.TV Channel 51.2
Medford: TBD.TV Channel 10.3
Eugene: TBD.TV Channels 13.2, 11.2, or 4.2
Yakima/Pasco: TBD.TV Channel 19.3 and TBD.TV Channel 29.3

All broadcast games will be shown in SD (standard definition) except Portland’s 2.2, which should be in high definition. If you’re in Portland and are having trouble accessing channel 2.2, please try a rescan of your channels. Charge’s signal changed as part of the recent HD transition, and your TV may need to “find” it again with a scan.

If you live near those cities, you may be able to pick these games up via your antenna, plugged into your TV via coax cable. Alternatively, if you can receive this game on your antenna, and would like to use that to see games on multiple devices on your home network, you plug the antenna into a Tablo TV or HDHomeRun.

Your cable options are complicated. Many of these channels are available on some local cable systems and should work fine. However, the networks may not show the game on national cable services, because they receive the national feed for that channel, instead of the local one. Unfortunately, you’ll need to test this for yourself tonight.

Your guide may lie to you. Many online guides do not list tonight’s game as airing on Charge or TBD around the northwest. That may simply be a guide error. So if the guide tells you that “Whose Line is it Anyway?” is showing, try the channel anyway.
