Hugh Grant May Star in the Upcoming A24 Horror Film ‘Heretic’


Hugh Grant is supposedly in talks to be in the upcoming horror movie Heretic, which will be directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, who also wrote the script. Grant is involved because his fantasy movie Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, released by Paramount/eOne and did well at the box office.

Scott Beck and Bryan Woods wrote the story and will direct the movie Heretic. The movie’s story is being kept secret, but rumors say that it will be about two young women of faith who find themselves in a cat-and-mouse game in a strange man’s home. As of right now, there is no knowledge about who made the movie.

Grant is also in a few other future movies, including Jerry Seinfeld’s directorial debut, Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story, and Wonka, a prequel to the Willy Wonka story starring Timothée Chalamet. Grant will surprise everyone by playing the famous Oompa Loompa figure in the latter.

Beck and Woods became well-known after writing the horror script A Quiet Place, which was then directed by John Krasinski and made over $340 million around the world. They were the top producers for the movie, which has since become a popular series.

The two also wrote, directed, and made the science fiction action movie 65 for Sony. The Boogeyman, which is based on a story by Stephen King and was made by 20th Century Fox and is now in theaters, is their most recent work.
