A 77-year-old woman who loves figure-hugging dresses has shown that age is just a number.
Candace Cima doesn’t let the years dictate her wardrobe choices, insisting it “shouldn’t define you”.
The sassy senior struts her stuff in snug frocks and stilettos, brushing off nasty trolls who say she’s dressed “inappropriate for a woman of her age” and claiming her outfits “aren’t suitable” for her.

Candace is all about living a body positive life and sharing uplifting videos on her social media, including a recent one where she’s looked amazing it in a ribbed bodycon number from Amazon.
She reckons ladies have been brainwashed into thinking they’ve got to ‘hide away’ just like their mums and nans did. So she’s taken it upon herself to promote fashion freedom in your golden years.
Despite the haters urging her to cover up, Candace continues to dazzle online. However, not everyone’s a fan of her bold fashion sense, with one keyboard warrior sniping: “For the sake of men who have to see you in public, know what dresses compliment you and which ones don’t.”
Another snarky comment read: “No, older women should not wear form-fitting dresses like that,” while another wrote: “You’re very attractive but that dress is not for a sagging body or skin.”
A fourth chimed in: “Body-hugging, form-fitting dresses on a woman over 50 is not visually appealing in any form.”, according to Mirror.

After a barrage of online backlash, Candace hit back at the relentless trolling. She fumed: “It’s not the first time this has happened, but this one surprised me. People have such outdated notions about age-appropriate fashion, and that needs to change. It’s perfectly appropriate to have wrinkled skin at 77, and I’m not ashamed of it.”
She also said sometimes she wants to respond to comments and ask if she should also cover her face as she has wrinkles there as well.
Candace started her blog in 2019 after realising there was a lack of age-positive influencers on social media. She now has more than 400,000 followers on Instagram and TikTok where she suggests fashion styling tips and outfits.
