IIT Indore and NATRAX Collaborate to Transform Road Safety and Automotive Technology |


IIT-I, NATRAX join hands to innovate in road safety & automotive technology

Indore: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore and National Automotive Test Tracks (NATRAX) have collaborated to pioneer innovative technologies in road safety, maintenance of tracks, and technological advancements in the automotive sector.
Both institutes will collaborate on research endeavours encompassing road safety, track predictive maintenance whilst preserving track characteristics, advanced materials, and other sustainable technologies. IIT-I and NATRAX signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at fostering collaboration between academia and industry to propel innovation and technological advancements in the automotive sector. As part of the partnership, the institutes will facilitate knowledge exchange, workshops, seminars, and training programmes.
Professor Suhas S Joshi, director, IIT Indore, said, “This MoU marks a significant milestone in our efforts to bridge the gap between academia and industry. We are excited about the potential of this collaboration to drive innovation and create impactful solutions for road safety and track predictive maintenance.”
As part of the partnership, the institutes will engage in the exchange of knowledge, workshops, seminars, and training programmes. Students at IIT-I will receive opportunities to participate in research projects, internships, and practical training at NATRAX facilities.
Dr Manish Jaiswal, dṁirector at NATRAX, said, “We are thrilled to partner with IIT Indore and look forward to working together on projects that will push the boundaries of road safety and track management and maintenance technology, EV technology, and contribute to the growth of the industry.” He said the collaboration will harness the strengths of both institutions to undertake cutting-edge research, develop novel technologies, and create valuable opportunities for students and researchers.
