According to a news release, Imani Winds will be joining The Cliffe College Performing Arts Series to conclude the 2024-25 season of performances.

The quintet will take the stage at Youngstown State University’s Ford Theater in Bliss Hall on April 4 at 7 p.m. 

Tickets may be purchased online at ysu.tix.com. Pricing is as follows according to the ticketing website:

  • Adults – $33
  • Seniors (65 and over), YSU Alumni and YSU Faculty – $28
  • Youth (13 and over) – $12
  • Children (12 and under) and YSU Students with ID – Free

Parking is available in the Wick Avenue Deck (M30) for a $5 fee payable in cash.

The group performs traditional chamber repertoire, and is new including newly commissioned works that reflect on the throws of modern society according to the release.

Imani Winds regularly performs at venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and the Kennedy Center. The quintet also holds workers and masterclasses for thousands of students every year.

The release also states that the quintet holds the Imani Winds Chamber Music Festival every summer to teach musical excellence and career development to pre-professional instrumentalists and composers.
