In Entertainment U2 in Las Vegas, France’s Displeasure with “Black Panther,” and Rihanna’s New Album

U2 Remains

The renowned U2 will set up shop in the desert for a series of performances. The announcement was made via a 15-second Super Bowl LVII advertisement. The residency in Las Vegas will be known as U2: UV Achtung Baby Live at the Sphere and will take place at the MSG Sphere at the Venetian hotel. In advance of the residency, U2 will also release Songs of Surrender, a collection of forty songs. However, drummer Larry Mullen will be absent due to a scheduled operation.

France-Wakanda Relations

France is angry with the depiction of French soldiers in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. On Twitter, Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu condemned a photograph depicting arrested soldiers with their wrists bound behind their backs.

The soldiers appeared to be equipped similarly to French troops deployed to the Sahel region of Africa to combat terrorist groups. “I am remembering and honoring the 58 French soldiers who died defending Mali against Islamist terrorist groups at its request,” he added. He continued by stating that the military was being misrepresented.

RiRi’s Comeback?

After seven long years, Rihanna’s Navy performed a spectacular Super Bowl halftime show. It featured her songs, images that might make your palms sweat, and even a pregnancy announcement! Fans who expected this concert to mark the beginning of a new Rihanna era should brace themselves. In an interview about the big performance, she disclosed that a new album “would certainly take some time” but that she was open to releasing songs sporadically.
